What is Pathways?

Pathways is a newly established state-wide information and referral service, funded by the Queensland Government to connect Queenslanders with disability to advocacy services. Queenslanders with disability, their friends, families and carers can contact Pathways by telephone, email, or web enquiry to receive information and referrals to assist with issues they are experiencing.

Pathways was created to stop people with disability having to do the ring around, trying to find services and support. Pathways is connected with organisations and has a deep understanding of who can assist with what.

In some cases, disability advocacy may not be best placed to assist with an issue a person with disability is experiencing, and Pathways has been setting up warm referral pathways with community and mainstream services such as community legal centres and information hubs.

Pathways is open 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
